Tynemouth (Cullercoats) Aerodrome
Location : Between Tynemouth & Whitley Bay

Tynemouth (Cullercoats) was used as both a landing ground for 36(HD)Sqn and Marine Operations Station for 252Sqn. It occupied 45 acres of land measuring 650 x 330 yards and was in operation between December 1916 and June 1919. Four Bessonneau hangars were erected at the station.
